Darker Than Black | ?
Darker than Black is an anime series created by Tensai Okamura and BONES (Fullmetal Alchemist, RahXephon). It premiered across Japan in April 5, 2007. The series is also slated to receive its satellite television premiere in Japan on Animax on May 2007. The music for the series is composed by Yoko Kanno.
Ten years ago, an abnormal territory called Hell's Gate appeared in Tokyo, causing its original sky to vanish. It is not known why or how it appeared. Coinciding with this phenomenon was the appearance of Contractors and Dolls. Contractors are cold-hearted people with special abilities. Dolls, on the other hand, are creatures that can be programmed to do something the programmer desires. Because contractors have special abilities, many organizations utilize them to uncover the truth behind Hell's Gate.
