Inhabitants of the Japanese island, Tatsumiya, have been living peacefully for 29 years without knowing that Japan and most of the world have been destroyed. Only a select few are aware, and begin the Arcadian Project in secrecy.
Kazuki Makabe, a child on this island, and his friends discovered a radio box during their childhood. Upon fixing it, they hear the question "Are you there?" And they answer.
Years later, on a day when life is still the same on the island, childhood friend Soushi Minashiro returns from a facility called CDC. On this day, alarms would sound all over the island, and the island would turn into a fortress to fight against silicon giants they call Festum. The paradise they lived in would no longer be. The reality they knew would all be revamped. And they must fight for their lives using mechs called Fafner.

character design from Gundam Seed and Scryed, Soukyuu no Fafner is the journey of
Kazuki Makabe and his friends to fight against the true world.
