Motosuaw Hideki is a farm boy from the country. After failing to get into the university of his choice, Hideki moves to Tokyo to take a cram school. Just after arriving, Hideki is introduced to the latest Japanese craze - Persocons, attractive female and male robots that help their masters in everyday life. Hideki is of course in love with the idea of a personal Persocon, but he is too poor to afford such an expensive purchase. However, one night as he is walking home he comes across a Persocon in the trash. This Persocon however, is different from all the others; she doesn't appear to have an operating system to perform actions. Hideki has no idea what is in store for him as his Persocon learns about everyday human life.
